Motherhood isn’t just the meeting of your baby— It’s the meeting of a new you 💐

Like any kind of change, you’ll have moments when you feel the pull of it—the natural friction of stepping into something new.

So amidst the unexplainable joy and excitement of meeting your baby, give yourself the freedom to also experience the feelings of change and the traction of becoming someone new—of being needed in a way you never have before.

It’s important to remember that recognizing the hard moments doesn’t diminish the beauty of motherhood. It doesn’t make you any less of a mother or mean you love your child any less. It just means you’re allowing yourself to experience the full depth of this journey 👩‍🍼💫

Because not accepting your emotions doesn’t make them disappear—it only makes you carry them with the added weight of not being able to feel them freely. 🌸
