🌿 fun fact— did you know that birdsong doesn’t just sound lovely, it’s actually been shown to calm the nervous system?

That’s because birds only sing when it’s safe — when there are no threats nearby, no predators in sight.

Over time, our bodies have learned that birdsong = safety. A gentle “you’re okay” from nature to our nervous systems. (How cool is that?)

As a doula, I’m always thinking about ways we can nurture that sense of security — in birth, in healing, and in daily life! 🤍🤍

When I look back at my life, I’m in awe of how God so gently weaves every chapter to bring us exactly where we’re meant to be

Let me show you what I mean…

I’m the oldest of nine (yes, nine!) kids.

Growing up in a big family taught me so much about care, patience, and the beauty of showing up for others— especially in the quiet, everyday ways. It’s where my love for mothers and children could take root and has bloomed! 🌸

For years, dance was also a big part of my life.

I became deeply connected to movement, which has taught me to move with our bodies rhythm — something key in birth — and to lead with grace. Those lessons stay with me in every birth space I enter.

I also knew that college wasn’t the path for me.

It didn’t feel aligned—and for a while, that left me wondering what was next. But, God faithfully revealed the answer so clearly: birth work… This calling! 🥹

What I get to do now—walking alongside women during some of their most powerful, vulnerable moments— is something I’ll never take for granted 🤎
